Position Description:

Reporting to the Tool Crib Supervisor, the successful candidate will be accountable for delivering tools and equipment to construction site in and around the GTA.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivery of construction tools, equipment, prefab (Plumbing, heating and sheet metal) 
  • Pick up of construction tools and equipment and return to warehouse
  • Removal of construction debris from sites  
  • Load and unload tool trucks
  • Pick tool/equipment orders and stage for shipping
  • Receive, unpack, and inventory incoming tools and equipment, inspect items for defects and store back in inventory 
  • Tool repairs and maintenance
  • Mark tool crib items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment
  • General warehouse work (sweeping/housekeeping)
  • May perform other duties as required

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years driving at truck
  • Valid class DZ or AZ driver’s license
  • Able to lift 75 lbs and push over 200 lbs
  • Knowledge of construction tools and equipment (Mechanically inclined) 
  • Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic form 
  • Organized and detail oriented 
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently
  • Willingness to work co-operatively with others to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Above average analytical skills with a good work ethic
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, as required

Own Tools/Equipment: 

  • Steel-toed safety boots
